Venture Photos is operated by Astronomic Inc, a company based in Austin, Texas. By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

What Venture Photos does

Venture Photos is a marketplace where professional photographers upload photos from startup and investor events, and event attendees can find and purchase those photos. Astronomic Inc operates the platform and facilitates transactions between photographers and buyers.

Creating an account

You must create an account to purchase photos or apply as a photographer. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old to use this site.

AI face search

When you upload a selfie to find your photos, you consent to our AI analyzing your facial features to match you with event photos. By uploading a selfie, you confirm that:

• The selfie is of you (not another person).
• You are 18 years of age or older.
• You consent to biometric processing as described in our Privacy Policy.

We use your face data only to find your photos. We do not sell it or use it for any other purpose.

Purchasing photos

When you purchase a photo, you receive a license to use that photo for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may:

• Download and print the photo for personal use.
• Share the photo on personal social media with credit to the photographer.

You may not:

• Resell the photo or use it for commercial purposes without a separate license.
• Remove watermarks from preview images.
• Claim ownership or copyright of the photo.

The photographer retains copyright of all photos. Astronomic Inc licenses the photo to you on behalf of the photographer.

Watermarked previews

All photos are displayed with a watermark until purchased. Removing, obscuring, or circumventing watermarks is prohibited and may result in account termination.

Digital downloads

After purchase, your photos are available for download from your account for 12 months. We recommend downloading your photos promptly after purchase. Astronomic Inc is not responsible for photos that are unavailable after the 12-month window.

Refund policy

All sales are final. Because digital photos are delivered immediately upon purchase, we do not offer refunds. If you believe there is a technical error with your purchase (e.g., the wrong photo was delivered), contact us at [email protected] within 7 days and we will review your case.

Photographer terms

Photographers who apply to the platform agree to the following:

• Revenue split: Photographers receive 25% of each photo sale. Astronomic Inc retains 75% as the platform fee.
• Photo rights: By uploading photos, you grant Astronomic Inc a worldwide, royalty-free license to display, watermark, and sell those photos on the platform. You retain copyright.
• Eligibility: You must have the right to sell the photos you upload. You may not upload photos of minors without verifiable parental consent. You may not upload photos that are defamatory, obscene, or infringe on third-party rights.
• Payouts: Payouts are processed via Stripe Connect. You must complete Stripe's onboarding to receive payments. Payouts are issued periodically at Astronomic Inc's discretion.
• Approval: Photographer accounts require approval by Astronomic Inc before photos can be uploaded or sold.
• Termination: Astronomic Inc may remove photos or terminate photographer accounts at any time for violations of these terms.

Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe. By making a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. Astronomic Inc does not store your payment card details.

Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose.
• Upload photos of people without their consent.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
• Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the site without permission.
• Interfere with the operation of the platform.

Disclaimer of warranties

Venture Photos is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind. Astronomic Inc does not guarantee that the site will be available at all times, that AI face matching will be 100% accurate, or that all event photos will be available for purchase.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Astronomic Inc is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Travis County, Texas. You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the site. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
